Our newbies: Magnificent Seven!
In January we had some strong newbies, 7 of them are helping us in the match against ACROPOLIS.
I'd like to introduce this Magnificient Seven!
Catholic_Knight: José from the USA is a chess.com member since 2 years, he's a good tactician and a blitz player. I had one "Let's play" game with him and was lucky to win. In the match against ACROPOLIS José managed to win both games, in the first one he checkmated his opponent: https://www.chess.com/daily/game/157261137
triggerlips: Nick Cummings is an over the board player from New Zealand who uses chess.com to hone skills. He has a very high FIDE rating and excels in all formats of chess: bullet, blitz, rapid, tactics. I liked his posts in the anti-cheating forum and invited him to join our team. I'm very happy he accepted it! In the match against ACROPOLIS he's playing his first game and is a pawn up.
okmys: Sergey Okmyansky from Moscow is a strong tactician. I saw him playing in the World Chess League for Russia. In our match against ACROPOLIS he's facing a good, but slow opponent who takes about 17 hours for a move. I wish Sergey patience and good luck!
Sfefs: Martin Veschambre is our first French player and he features a photo of a Soviet World Champion Mikhail Tal on his avatar. In the match against ACROPOLIS Martin couldn't show his strength as the opponent was disqualified for cheating. I hope Martin will help us in future matches!
nagdalyan: Arsen from Armenia is a strong tactician and a very good blitz player. In our match against ACROPOLIS Arsen showed his superb tactical skills in the reverse Sicilian, gaining decisive material advantage in a complicated position: https://www.chess.com/daily/game/157261121 I wish Arsen good luck in the second game!
BizDanIshVili: Danilo Vladkowsky is one of our four Canadian players. He's a chess.com member since 2012 and has joined only 4 teams so far, I'm proud that Nabokov's Dozen is one of them!
SilexArconsi: Silex is our strongest Canadian with a FIDE rating of 1867 points. He's good in tactics, blitz and bullet and shares the first place with Arsen for the sweetest avatar.
