Pinellas Beats Malta on Oct 9, Edinburgh is Next on Nov 6

In the 20/20 Championship League, an international chess league, we started the new season with a loss against Poti (Georgia).  On Sat., Oct. 9 we rebounded in Round 2 by defeating Team Malta 6.5 - 1.5 with strong play from Wasteproduct2002, AlexJTurner, and arnavb2011.   Also, thanks to CommanderAxW & Peter_Zylman for providing backup! 

We are slated to play Edinburgh U (Scotland) in Round 3 on Sat., Nov. 6 at 5pm.

The following are already in Pinellas County FL and are cleared to play this season:  AlexJTurner, Andy_yugi, arnavb2011, calvinmoegling, CharlesMoegling, ChrisalonaLiverspur, Citruc, CommanderAxW, DragonSlayer968, finemeerkat, gavlonitis, ishaanbhowmick, misshunter20, Peter_Zylman, SrPerazzo, & WasteProduct2002. 

The following have joined our Remind but have not yet accepted the invitation to join the "Pinellas County FL" club:  Nick_Crooks & SonoSalmone.

Participation in this league is open to anyone in PCS Chess.  If you want to play, join our Remind system by texting @pcschess1 to 81010 from your cell phone.  We will then (1) send you an invitation to join the “Pinellas County FL” club and (2) use remind.com to send reminder(s) shortly before matches.

Last season our record was 3 – 7; we played teams in England, Gibraltar, Scotland, South Africa, USA, & Wales.
