Play in my July 2024 beginner's online USCF tournament

Hi everyone!  Play in my July 2024 U1200 online USCF tournament this Saturday, July 20 at 10am PST.  

The tournament is for  players who don't have a USCF rating or a have a rating below 1201.  This tournament will be hosted in my other club:  https://www.chess.com/club/chess-by-laurens-uscf-online-tournament-club

What: A US Chess (United States Chess Federation) online-rated chess tournament

When: Saturday, July 20th at 10am PST

Tournament Format:

     Type: Swiss-system 

     # of Rounds: 5 rounds

     Time control is G/10 + 2 (affecting US Chess online quick rating)

     Sections: one section.  Only open to players without a rating or rated Under 1200 USCF. 

     Pairing: based on chess.com rapid rating.

Entry Fee: $15

Prizes: First place wins  $20. Second place wins $15. Third place wins $5.

Rating of the event: The tournament will be submitted to US Chess for rating after the fair play screening has been completed. Any adjustment due to fair play violation will follow the standard US Chess Online Play guidelines.

Other things to know: My monthly USCF online chess tournaments will almost always be the third Saturday of every month at 10am PST.
