Puzzles for week 8
One week has passed and your five puzzles are here to entertain you once again!
Okay, for newbies, read on. For regulars, skip this paragraph. The puzzles are arranged in such a way that the first puzzle is Very Easy, the second Easy and so on. There are comments and annotations. Your comments and opinions should be posted ~~>>here<<~~. You can also gain access to previous puzzles from ~~>>here<<~~. If you have any puzzles to contribute, send them to me by message (just search under Members "turn") and I will reward you with a fabulous trophy for every five puzzles submitted! The credit will also be all yours.
Now that I've summarised the introductions, I'll like to say that I want to hear from all of you. I am thinking of having weekly chess positions from openings, middlegames and endgames. In these positions, you find what, in your opinion, is the best move and state why. I will provide what I think is the best move which I will play. This can stimulate our chess brain cells and help us analyse and understand positions better.
This week features three puzzles which aim is material advantage...again. But aren't you tired of checkmates puzzles? Anyway, if you remain a hardcore fan of checkmate puzzles and refuse to change, then thank goodness I left the Very Hard puzzle a checkmate one......or else I'll be chased by a mob!
Now, on with the puzzles!!
