Sac Pawn Storm #2 on Saturday 3:00 PM
After the successful inaugural Live tournament last weekend, the club will host regular Saturday afternoon Pawn Storm events. Due to Covid-19, this is the only game in town. Call up your friends to hang out with other Sacramento chess players. The more, the merrier!

I wish to float the idea of a blitz arena on Tuesday nights at 7:30 PM. Tentatively, the time control is G/5 + 1 second increment. You might play 12 to 15 games in 90 minutes. More details later.
Who would be interested in a club match between the Sacramento Chess Club and another club from around the country? Show both your spirit and your skill! A typical match has two rounds and everyone plays a pair of G/15 versus the same opponent. Higher rated and lower rated players are encouraged to join the team.
Lastly, our friends at the Auburn Chess Club host tournaments on Monday and Thursday evenings while the Mechanics' Institute Chess Club offers a variety of events almost every day of the week.
