Sacbutt and Master Eli go through to the next round

After Sacbutt (Ieuan Ward) played Qxb7, Master Eli (Eli Miller) trapped Ieuan’s with Bd5 – white resigned. Despite this loss Ieuan goes through with 5pts along with Eli on 3pts.

Eli played chess for a year or two in primary school and won a few city youth tournaments. He then lost interest in the process of moving north with his family. Eli picked it back up about a year ago and have been enjoying some quick improvement. He hopes to increase his Daily rating to about 2000 before I slow down as he has a rather busy professional life, which is why he sometimes loses a handful of games on time all at once.
