This victory in the Grünfeld Defense: Schlechter, Makogonov Variation secured @Ydtd’s club-leading 12th daily title, bolstering his pursuit of a fifth consecutive Player of the Year award and contributing to Player of the Week honors for September 7–13, 2025. exploited @J_Santiago’s weakened structure, gaining material and control. @Ydtd’s precise play continued with 25. Qc4 and 29. Qc5, pinning @J_Santiago’s pieces. The final blow came with 33. Qxb5, capturing a key pawn and leaving @J_Santiago in a hopeless position, prompting resignation.
