Dear Silverdale Chess Club Friends and Families,
At least two Silverdale Chess Club juniors will be competing today at the 2025 Wa. State Elementary and Scholastic Championships at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center. Yours truly will also be attending so will be away from the Moment venue for the day..
Please ask Brad, the Moment Brewing proprietor, to take down the two green crates with the chess sets and clocks that are stored above the hallway on the left side of the brewery. Kindly replace the sets and clocks at the end of your games and session.
The SuperBet United Rapid & Blitz event gets underway today, the first of six legs of the Grand Chess Tour, in Warsaw, Poland. Five of the Tour players are joined by five wildcards (pairings below) for a rapid round robin and a blitz double round robin. Today’s YouTube stream will feature the first three rounds of the rapid round robin.
