Special Candidates 2024 Community Arenas
Can you believe it's finally here? The FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2024 starts today!!
When Magnus Carlsen said he wasn't going for the World Champion title, I kinda thought maybe nobody would care about the tournament anymore (be honest and drop a comment below if you thought the same lol) but how wrong I was! Most of the chess community is super excited to see who's gonna win the Candidates and challenge Ding Liren and Ju Wenjun for the World Champion Titles. This year is very special because we have a two-for-one: Candidates and Women Candidates at the same time, double fun!
By the way, we've had loads of your guesses for our prediction contest, and at the end of the tournament, we will see who got it right! Thank you all for participating!
Anyway, coming back to this announcement, let's not forget that while we may not be chess pros like Fabi or Hikaru, we sure love the game! So, while the big players are there, we're not missing out on the fun here. That's why we're hosting Arena tournaments during the off days of the Candidates because, you know, chess never stops!
