SurrounderS, prepare for a game!!
Hey everyone! Sorry for being inactive these days)
Now I'm ready to announce that a game called SurrounderS will replace the unsuccesful United Chess Competitions Partners Program Chess Game!
Before I start with the rules, be sure to check this Google Sheet, where all the action will happen: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Nz7cYn049Ig6lPHh282mhe25VaaAmJR5i3IJPQe-Y3I/edit?usp=sharing
So let's start with a quick tutorial!
1) This is a competition between our Partner Clubs. Learn more about our Partners Program here: https://www.chess.com/blog/champion-19/official-partners-program-of-the-united-chess-competitions
2) After you confirm your club's participation(comment its name below), feel free to choose one of the free colours(except White, of course).
3) Clubs will make moves one after another. The first registered club makes the first move, then the second one, and so on!
4) In order to make a move, leave a message in the special forum here in the club! Please use the following format: *name of your club* - *square(e.g. M2, R8)*
5) Obviously, you can't make a move in the square which is already taken by another colour. The map is 100x100, so I think everyone will find a place there)
6) Please discuss your move first! Feel free to make a news and/or forum thread specifically for these purposes! Your club has 24 hours(you can submit your move before that time) to make a move. After I update the map, the next club takes the move.
7) Goal of this game: surround as many squares(territory) as possible. Territory - piece of a map FULLY surrounded by one color. Let me show you an example:
All territories will contain the "C" letter. If the territory is captured, for example, by the Red colour, it will have a "CR"(Captured by Red) sign:
NOTE: squares without the "C" letter are NOT considered as territories! Only territories will count towards the final Club's score! You can see the leaderboards on the left side of the spreadsheet!
TIPS FOR THE CLUBS:
1. Do not try to block other clubs, unless they are ready to capture a really BIG territory!
2. Start with capturing small territories in different parts of the map! Your territories don't have to be connected with each other!
3. Ask me if you have any questions or suggestions! I will try to answer them as quick as possible!

Have fun! Thanks for 320 members and 502 followers! Let's keep it up)
