Tampa bay are champions

The Tampa bay lightning from the NHL won the Stanley cup last night, after beating the Dallas stars 2-0 in game six of the final. Victor Hedman and Braden Point both scored goals for Tampa bay. Victor Hedman (defenceman) won the Conne Smythe reward, this reward is given to the most valuable NHL playoff player for that season. Patrick Maroon became the eighth player in NHL history to win two Stanley cups in a row with both cups being from different teams (he won last year for St. Louis). Steven Stamkos (captain), wins his first Stanley cup after 12 seasons in the NHL. This is the lightning’s second Stanley cup win with their previous one being in the 2003-2004 season.
