DHLC Slow Swiss 15 - 45/5 "Not Quite so Slow"

This will be a 3-5 round tournament (depending on turnout) and will be played in one round per week scheduled according to the rules of the Slow Chess League using ET (New York - USA).

*** IMPORTANT *** The Time Control will be 45/5 instead of our usual 45/45.  This will allow for faster games.  45/5 is a popular time control for rated weekend club events in some places such as the US.

Dan Heisman recommends practicing Slow Chess using the same increment that is used in your local OTD events.  While the increment in many countries is 30 seconds, in the US it is still only 5 seconds and most rated US OTB events feature a 5 second increment.

If you prefer faster games with a 30 second increment then sign up for Slow Swiss #16 -- 30/30.

To sign up for this tournament you MUST be a veteran Slow Chess League Player, or have successfully completed a League Qualifier tournament.

Begins Monday, July 14.
