Webinar 75. How to Improve at Chess by Learning Tactical Motifs
Dear Chess Friends!
How to get better in calculation and tactics? Of course, the answer is by solving puzzles. Yes, it helps, but only in case if you solve them following a proper procedure. Usually, chess players solve puzzles using their mobile devices. They don’t calculate the line, but try to guess the move. And, of course, they don’t predict their opponent’s response. No need, the engine replies.
According to my experience the best way to improve in tactics is to learn tactical motifs first, analyze the positions and understand preconditions of possible tactical strikes. If you learn them, you’ll be looking for preconditions of these tactical motifs in your games and will be able to find (or even to prepare) tactical strikes then.
Would you like to learn tactical motifs, improve your ability to calculate and find tactical strikes in your games? If yes, welcome to my next 75th webinar “How to Improve at Chess by Learning Tactical Motifs” where you will learn how to analyze and understand that’s it’s time for a tactical strike and what exactly to be looking for.
We are going to cover such tactical motifs as:
- Pin
- Discovered Attack
- Double Attack
- Intermediate Move
- X-Ray Attack
- Opening a Line
- Attraction
- Distraction
- Annihilation of Defense
It’s not an exhaustive list, but these are the most popular ones.
Join the webinar, learn tactical motifs, their preconditions and increase your rating by 100 points at least!
The webinar starts on Sunday (28th of March) at 10 a.m. (EDT), 2 p.m. (GMT), 5 p.m. (Moscow time). This webinar is free.
