World League 2010 Pre-Tournament
Since we are a new team, we have to participate in a pre-tournament for new teams before the WL. Below are some pieces of information concerning this pre-tournament. We are in Group F along with Ukraine, Malta and Colombia and we play Malta in our first match. They will be challenging us since they play HOME in our first match. Please have a read of the following:
Pre-tournament
Dear leaders of New Teams,
First of all, welcome to the World League, the largest team tournament of Chess.com
You all have applied to participate in the World League 2010 starting next January 2010, however, before you are allowed to participate you must fulfill all the World League requirements in terms of rules and procedures and qualify in a preclassification tournament.
Please check all of the rules and procedures here:
As urgent actions that most of you need to implement:
- To invite Baseballfan(staff) into your teams and promote him as SAdmin.
- To change your group description according to the Team Leader Guidelines.
- To inform internally your members about the World League rules. Special mention to those teams with players participating in other World League Teams. (Team Palestine, Team Sri Lanka, Team Cyprus, Team Mauritius...etc.) Failing to this rule, might cause a number of penalties to your teams reducing your chances to classify to the WL 2010.
You have only a few days to work on that as you will have to start playing in tournament basis in just 5 days!
Finally, as there are 24 teams registered and only 20 spots, we have arranged a classification tournament.

Besides, there will be specific surveillance for this subject.
(please read the TEAM LEADER GUIDELINES for futher info)
Good luck to all participants, and above all, have fun!
