World League Team Leader Guidelines
Below are some guidelines for all Team Leaders (admins and Super admins):
| WORLD LEAGUE Team Leader Guidelines |
|
| IMPORTANT! All team leaders must read these guidelines in order to maximize their team's participation. | |
| -The name for all groups should be ‘Team (insert country here)’ or something similar. This name will never change. | |
| -The main image for all groups must be their country’s flag found here: http://www.worldatlas.com/webimage/flags/flagcnty.htm | |
| -Staff member Baseballfan will step in as a Super Admin in every team. This is only a precautionary measure, taken just in case the unthinkable happens. At least 2 Team Admins per country are encouraged to join these Head Quarters in order to receive all relevant info. | |
| -Entrance into any team should be set to invite-only, to prevent ineligible (already in a different country team) members from joining. Any members requesting to join who are not already part of a World League team and flying our country flag should be approved immediately. | |
| -The schedule of matches must be followed when playing official, ranked matches. You may, however, play as many unofficial matches as you want, against any other country team. Matches against non WL groups should be limited to a minimum. | |
| -When creating an official World League team match, the following guidelines should be followed: | |
| Match Name: World League, Round #: Country vs. Country | |
| (Ex: World League, Round 3: Canada vs. Italy) | |
| You can find the official Team List here | |
| Starting Position: Standard | |
| Days per move: 3 | |
| Minimum players: (According to the group size) | |
| GROUP A - 20 players | |
| GROUP B - 15 players | |
| GROUP C - 10 players | |
| GROUP D - 5 players | |
| GROUP E - 1 player | |
| Maximum players: Not set | |
| Concurrent games per opponent: 2 | |
| Auto-start: OFF | |
| Rated: YES | |
| -Matches will be created by the team marked ‘HOME’ on the schedule (as opposed to ‘AWAY’) which will be as general rule, the team on the left. | |
| -Team leaders are responsible to make sure that only players who are qualified according to the rules and within the correct rating parameters have joined each match. | |
| -When a match is started, provisional scoreboards and official standings will be posted on the WL Head-Quaters forums. TLs are encouraged to transmit this info into their respective team members. Specific forums will be set 'public' for that effect. | |
| -If there is any suspected cheating or unfair play from the other side, team leaders should report the problem in the Incidences Reporting topic at the World League headquarters. They should not take matters into their own hands. | |
| -Team Leaders are not allowed to prevent any of their members from entering an official team match unless those members were not qualified for the WL rules. | |
| -The General Rules should be copy/pasted into each team’s forums, so that all participants are aware of the rules. If a member asks a team leader a question to which they do not know the answer, they should post it in the Questions/concerns topic. | |
| -The following group description should be used by all participating teams: | |
|
"This is the group representing (Country) in the Chess.com World League. Members can only play and represent one Country in the World League and are encouraged to fly their flag accordingly. Members already playing with a different country team in official WL games, will be removed! |
|
| More may be added at the end of the description to suit each country's purposes (including translations), but that first text body should always be used. | |
| All these rules are mandatory and any Team Leader representing a Country Team must accept them. Not meeting the rules or refusing to play official matches repeatedly may cause losing the Team Leader position and be forced to leave it open for other Team members.* | |
| *refusing to leave that position will automatically mean losing the option to wear the World league badges and to use the name “Team (Country)” and a new official “Team (Country)” will be created to ensure the participation of that country players. | |
