Bishop vrs. Knight

Their has been many battles between the Knight and the Bishop. In positions, each one has its own benifits.For example, kNIGHT does better inclosed positions with many pawns. The Bishop does better with fewer pawns and open diago

nals. I will provide examples of how this works.

Black is closed in with white pawns on white spaces. Black cannot create tempo with the bishop in this position.

In this position, the bishop is open withmany diagonals open. The Knight does not thrive and has a big disadvantage against a bishop that is open.

So, think about how you go through your middlegame and see which will be better in the endgame
