Community Leagues provide great opportunities to represent your nation, state, city and communities in many different types of chess, including daily chess, vote chess, live chess formats, and many more.

Leagues are run by great admins and volunteers on Chess.com, not by Staff. 

Participation in Community Leagues can vary depending on each league format. These could be representing your Federation via a club, representing a community club as a player, building a team inside the club and scheduling games, among other varied formats.

Community Leagues are not to be confused with Chess.com's Players League. Learn more at chess.com/leagues.

Official Chess.com Leagues

These are the official leagues ran by Chess.com.

Collegiate Chess League Eligible: College Chess Clubs Format: Blitz Chess The official club page for the Collegiate Chess League. You can compete in our events on our club page, watch our matches live on Twitch, catch the highlights on YouTube, join our community on Discord, and stay up to date on announcements on our social media pages.

Daily Chess (Geographic)

These are Community Leagues organized in a geographic fashion, where you'll participate in a club representing a nation, state, city or region against similar clubs in Daily Chess matches.

World League • (Admins) Eligible: National Clubs Format: Daily Chess Welcome to the Chess.com World League! Players from all over the world gather to enjoy team matches with players from other countries. Everyone is welcome to join, whether you're playing in World League matches or just curious about it.

US Team Chess League Eligible: US State Clubs Format: Daily Chess Founded in July 4, 2010, The US Team Chess League (USTCL) hosts a yearly Daily Chess competition between clubs representing US States, US Territories, and Canadian Provinces. All players are welcome to compete by joining their team via links in the club description. Main club is reserved for organizers/admins.

Asian League Eligible: Asian National Clubs Format: Daily Chess Headquarters (ALHQ) is where all the Asian League's events are organized. Only officials of teams participating in our tournaments and competitions may join.

European League Eligible: European National Clubs Format: Daily Chess The European League is the team match league for European national teams on chess.com. This group is for admins and players of these teams.

Pan-American League • (Admins) Eligible: Pan-American Clubs Format: Daily Chess Membership is open to active players who reside in the nations comprising North America (including Bermuda), South America, Central America, and the Caribbean, or in any of the territories of those nations.

Eurasean League Eligible: European and Asian National Clubs Format: Daily Chess The Eurasian League organizes chess tournaments among teams from the Eastern Europe and Asia. Евразийская Лига проводит турниры для команд из Восточной Европы и Азии.

World Cities League Eligible: City Clubs Format: Daily Chess This group is for all admins of teams who participate in one of the World Cities Leagues (WCL and Chess960 WCL). If you are an admin of any group representing a city and if you want to participate in the leagues, you are welcome to join.

Cities World Cup Eligible: City Clubs Format: Daily Chess This group was formed to organize the games of the Cities World Cup (CWC). Rule: enjoy the games in a fair play way.

European Cities League Eligible: European Cities Clubs Format: Daily Chess Club for all admins who participate in the European Cities League (ECL). If you are an admin of any city club and would like to join the league, you are welcome to apply.

European InterRegio Championship Eligible: European Regional Clubs Format: Daily Chess Founded in 2021, the European InterRegio Championship (EIRC) offers Standard and Chess960 Daily Chess seasonal competitions for approved clubs from European regions. Main club is reserved for organizers/admins.

County Championship Council UK and Ireland Eligible: UK and Ireland county teams Format: Daily Chess Founded in 2009, this club is for players to discuss the administration and progress of matches for the County Championship, originally for English teams but now also incorporating the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

Australia and New Zealand League Eligible: Australia and New Zealand States and Territories teams Format: Daily Chess A regional geographic league between the Australian states & territories and New Zealand, successfully running Daily Chess competitions since 2020. Main club is reserved for organizers/admins.

Campionato Italiano Eligible: Italian Regional Clubs Format: Daily Chess Fondato nel 2013, il Campionato Italiano a Squadre (CIS) è un torneo tra squadre regionali italiane su Chess.com. Il suo scopo principale è fornire ai giocatori l'opportunità di competere tra regioni, rafforzando così il loro senso di appartenenza.

Coupe de France des Territoires Just Fontaine Eligible: France Regional Clubs Format: Daily Chess La Coupe de France des Territoires (CFT Just Fontaine) est une coupe à élimination directe dédiée aux territoires de France, nommée en hommage à notre illustre footballeur Just Fontaine. Le club principal est réservé aux organisateurs/administrateurs.

Championnat de France par Equipe Eligible: French Clubs Format: Daily Chess Le Championnat de France par Equipe (CFE) est un championnat de France qui regroupe les équipes françaises sous la forme d'un championnat de France.

Deutsche Mannschaftsmeisterschaft Eligible: German Regional Clubs Format: Daily Chess Die 2021 gegründete Deutsche Mannschaftsmeisterschaft (DMM) ist ein Wettbewerb zwischen deutschen Regionalmannschaften, die auch an internationalen Wettbewerben teilnehmen. Der Hauptclub ist den Organisatoren/Administratoren vorbehalten.

Slovenska Liga Eligible: Slovakian Regional Clubs Format: Daily Chess Slovenská liga, založená v roku 2013, je sezónna šachová súťaž medzi slovenskými regionálnymi klubmi. Všetky informácie nájdete v klube.

Daily Chess (General)

These are Community Leagues which foment competition among the very best member managed clubs on Chess.com through Daily Chess matches. Go and prove yours a legend!

Team Match Championship League Eligible: All Clubs Format: Daily Chess To join you must be at least sixteen years of age and have an account that's at least six months old. All clubs entered into our tournaments must have at least twenty five members & have been founded at least twelve months ago.

KNOCKOUT TEAM MATCH LEAGUE Eligible: Non-national Clubs Format: Daily Chess Knockout Team Match League (KTML) has been created with one sole and unique goal: To determine which Non-National group has the BEST match-fighting team on Chess.com. Our highly motivated admin team will be organizing this all knockout competition. Join us, and prove your team is the best!!!

Fan Clubs League Eligible: Fan Clubs Format: Daily Chess This is a league for members of Fan Clubs all across the website, whom wish to participate in the Fan Clubs league championship.

Live Chess

These leagues host seasonal tournaments decided through Live Club Matches matches between formidable clubs from the Chess.com community.

Live Chess World League Eligible: National Clubs Format: Live Chess Chess.com Premier national Live Chess league that is open to World League teams, and other national teams for countries without a WL team.

World Chess League.Live Eligible: All Players Format: Live Chess The World Chess League.Live was set up when the pandemic started, bringing hundreds of teams and thousands of players from across the world together and competing against each other, while fundraising for charity in the process.

Live Chess Pan-American League Eligible: Pan-American Clubs Format: Live Chess Organizational Group for the LCPAL and all Admins involved with eligible national teams playing in the league.

Live Chess European League Eligible: European Clubs Format: Live Chess Live Chess European League (LCEL) was created in January 2020, having the great advantage of scheduling matches much easier, due to the small differences of time zones.

Live Chess Mediterranean League Eligible: Teams of the Mediterranean Games Format: Live Chess The Live Chess Mediterranean League (LCML) is a Chess.com league hosting live tournaments among teams representing nations of the Mediterranean area and neighboring countries.

Vote Chess

These leagues showcase the harvesting of immense learning potential and a teamwork shaped experience through the Chess.com Vote Chess format.

Vote Chess World Cup • (Admins) Eligible: National Clubs Format: Vote Chess This is the primary point Club for players and admins who are participating in Chess.com's Vote Chess World Cup tournament. Game links, results and standings will be posted regularly.

KNOCKOUT VOTE CHESS LEAGUE Eligible: All Clubs Format: Vote Chess Standard & Chess960 competitions between Chess.com Clubs. Match format is 2 simultaneous games, 2 Days per move. Requirements: Be admin of a Club 6+ months old; Own account 6+ months old; Have 16+ years of age.

ONE WORLD League Eligible: All Clubs Format: Many Formats The ONE WORLD League hosts competitions from a wide variety of formats, including but not limited to: Daily Chess, Live Chess, Vote Chess, 960 Chess, rating specific competitions and more.

CLUB CHESS TOUR Eligible: All Clubs Format: Many Formats In the founder's words: Easy to understand, simple to participate, enjoyable to play. These are mainly Daily Chess Team Match competitions organized in all sorts of different fashions. Counts with a comprehensive FAQ in the club's description.
