Rules

You may challege any available player on the ladder up to two places higher than you and if you defeat them you take their place on the ladder and they drop down a place. To challenge someone simply click on their name then send them a challenge. Players may only send challenges if they're not currently being challenged or are involved in a game. Note - "INACTIVE" players may not be challenged, but also do not count as being ahead of anyone, so if the #7 ranked player is inactive, then #8 may legally challenge either #5 or #6, who are considered to be 2 and 1 spots ahead of #8 for the purpose of challenges.

Please declare your challenges and results in the sign up and challenges thread here: http://www.chess.com/groups/forumview/ladder-sign-up-and-challenges-thread then I can update the table. It would be helpful too if one of the players can post in that thread letting me know once a game starts so I can set their status to "playing a game with suchandsuch"

All challenges should be random colors, rated and the time control will be 3 days per move. Any challenge involving players who have previously played each other should alternate colors from the prior game, rather than using random colors.

New entrants have one free challenge to anyone on the ladder, if they win they will take the defeated players place on the ladder if they lose then they begin on the bottom of the ladder.

If you are ever unavilable to accept challenges please let me know and I can set your status to inactive.

Please use the sign up thread or the ladder thread on 2+2 for any posts. Please don't post in this thread.
