I'd like to ask for some help/suggestions/inspiration. I'm writing my thesis on The Queen's Gambit (the miniseries, not the book, but I mention the book a few times too), mainly its cultural effects, popularity, and the different cultural contexts that influenced it. By that I mean, e.g. feminism (female chess player) or covid (online chess, Netflix).

I'm quite short on time, but still I'd like to do a great job. But for this reason, I'm looking for mainly shorter sources. Maybe books even, but I only have time to read parts or a few chapters or sg like that. They would be great academic sources. But sources like articles are good enough references as well, my supervisor said that they are a good indicator of cultural imprints. Film criticism is good too. Sources on Chess.com, Lichess, Netflix - they would be great, especially statistics, I'm very curious if there is some kind of stats for the number of players on Chess.com that is public? Also, biographies or books on players like Beth or players who were mentioned in the series would be good recommendations (e.g. Fischer, Capablanca).

I do have sources, but I'm open to different points of view, suggestions, inspiration, anything I'm an MA student of English Studies, and mainly looking for English texts, but Hungarian would be great as well.
