Membership: Membership should be open to all individuals who are interested in playing chess, regardless of skill level or location.
Sportsmanship: Members are expected to maintain a high level of sportsmanship and respect for all other members at all times.
Communication: Members should communicate with each other in a respectful and professional manner, avoiding any harassing, threatening, or discriminatory language.
Cheating: Cheating is strictly prohibited, including but not limited to using computer assistance, seeking advice from others during games, and intentionally losing games.
Time control: Members should respect the agreed-upon time control for each game and make every effort to complete their games in a timely manner.
Game rules: Members should follow the standard rules of chess, as well as any additional rules specific to the club.
Tournaments: If the club hosts tournaments, there should be clear rules and procedures for tournament play, such as tiebreakers, playoffs, and disqualification.
Technical issues: In the event of technical issues, such as server downtime or connectivity problems, members should make every effort to resolve the issue or find an alternative solution.
Conduct: Members should conduct themselves in a manner that is in keeping with the principles of the club and the spirit of the game of chess.
