Welcome to the Banbury Chess Club Web Site. The Club was founded in 1947 and has been in continuous existence since then. We have recently changed venue and the club night. We now meet on Thursday evenings from 7.30 at the St Mary's Centre that is right next to St Mary's church in the centre of Banbury.
For those that like competitive chess, in the coming season, we will be fielding 5 teams in the Leamington League, and three teams in the Oxford league. Whether you are a seasoned player, or a newcomer to chess, you will be very welcome to join us. Just come along on a Thursday evening and see.
