Brilliant Minds Chess Club Rules (Chess.com)
1. Membership:
Anyone wishing to become a member of Brilliant Minds Chess Club must submit a membership request and agree to the club rules.
Members can be of any age and skill level, from beginners to professionals.
Participants in club activities and tournaments must be active and adhere to the club’s rules during games and events.
2. Activities and Tournaments:
The club will organize regular tournaments and events for all members.
Tournaments may include knockout tournaments, blitz games, or other formats.
Participants must register for each tournament and follow the rules specified for each event.
3. Game Rules:
All games will follow the international chess rules approved by FIDE.
Players should use chess clocks for all games to ensure a set time for each player.
Players are not allowed to use chess engines or external assistance during games. Any violation will result in disqualification from the club.
If a game is interrupted due to technical issues, it will be evaluated according to the situation and rules.
4. Behavior and Etiquette:
All members must maintain respectful and courteous behavior towards each other during games and online interactions.
Insults, offensive language, or inappropriate behavior will lead to disciplinary actions, including expulsion from the club.
Members must respect their opponent’s time and make their moves in a timely manner.
5. Communication and Chat:
Players may use the chat feature during games but must maintain good etiquette, avoiding disruptive or inappropriate comments.
Personal attacks and offensive remarks will not be tolerated and can lead to expulsion from the club.
The club will provide specific chat rooms for discussions and topics related to chess.
6. Use of Technology:
Players are encouraged to use Chess.com to participate in games and activities.
Using chess engines, bots, or any other tools that provide an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited and will result in club removal.
Players should ensure they have a stable internet connection to avoid interruptions during games.
7. Online Tournaments and Matches:
The club will organize online tournaments and matches. Participants must register and follow the schedules and format for each tournament.
If a player cannot participate in a scheduled match, they should inform the organizers in advance.
Tournaments will be organized fairly and transparently, respecting both FIDE and the club's rules.
8. Disciplinary Actions:
Violations of the club rules will be handled seriously and may lead to different disciplinary actions, including warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent expulsion from the club.
Decisions regarding disciplinary actions will be made by the club administration and will be based on the seriousness of the violation.
9. Participation in Social Activities:
Members are encouraged to take part in social activities and events organized by the club, including discussions, game analyses, and opportunities to meet other players.
Activities will be held online and may include training sessions, Q&A, and game review discussions.
