Hello, my name is Tyler and I play chess in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek. Currently, the Battle Creek club meets every Thursday, 6:30-10:00 at the cafe in Barnes and Noble, attached to Lakeview Square Mall. As for the Kalamazoo Club, a group of us meets at Tim Horton's every Sunday night. The time varies for that, but it is usually around 7:00 until they close. If anyone would like more information, send me a message and we can exchange phone numbers.
This is the first time for me to hear about the chess club, sounds intersiting, can you please let me know what I have to bring to play chess, I mean does I have my own chess or is there any cost??
I live and work in Kalamazoo (KVCC-Arcadia Campus) and play 5 min. games everyday. I haven't played a live game in years, but would be interested in doing so with individuals who exhibit sportsmanship and class.
Please contact me at 504-316-2078 if anyone wants to meet on campus to organize a regular meeting of chess enthusiasts. I'm also a good cook, so tasty things to eat could be an incentive
For those intersted to play chess near Kalamazoo please let me know
Please message me if there is still chess being played anywhere is Kzoo. I checked Old Dog's web site....
For those a little further north, who don't mind a drive up to Holland, check out this 5 week long event: https://secure.chess.com/club/chess-in-the-park
For those in the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek area who want to play chess, here are a few times and places where a gathering of chess players meet every week: Sunday night at the Arby's on Gull Road, on Monday night at the Old Dog Tavern (this is a newer gathering, there is an effort underway to get more people to come) Tuesday afternoon at Kellogg Community College (somewhere on campus, I don't know exactly where) in Battle Creek, and on Thursday night at the Barnes&Noble cafe in Battle Creek and at Sweetwaters Donuts down the road after B&N closes. I think there is also still a gathering on Sunday afternoons at the Bigby Coffee shop across from Target on Westnedge Ave, but I think this is a pretty small group.
I live in the Muskegon area , but my second home is kalamazoo, im there often. I love to play chess. The sad part is that i cant find anyone who feels the same.231-683-0394, Terrell call me if you guys really are gonna start a chess club. could be the cause of my relocation. lol
would be happy to meet in benton harbor. not that strong but love to play. just say when and where.
I live in Bangor, I could go to Benton Harbor sometimes.
Where are you? You can email me at email@example.com
would anyone be interested in meeting in the Benton Harbor area to meet up every once in awhile and play?? Kalamazoo is a bit of a drive for me
I live 12 miles from The Kalamazoo Chess Club. Reply to this message so that I can find out more about it. Thank you.
