Overview and Rules of the Lists
When we had the Ladder Competition a member of the ladder could challenge a member on a rung higher than them, and if they won, they would swap places, the idea being to reach the top of the Ladder.
In this new competition, the idea is similar, but instead of a multi-rung ladder, we have 3 groups. CoT. Knights is the highest rung, CoT. Squires is the middle rung, and CoT Pages is the lowest rung.
A member of the CoT. Pages can challenge any member of the CoT Squires who has “Free” next to his name in the Lists in the main group CoT. Castle

A member of the Cot. Squires can challenge a member of the CoT. Knights who has ‘Free” next to his name in the main group CoT. Castle

If you are a Page, remember no-one will challenge you, so unless you want to be a Page all your life, you must challenge a Squire.

How to challenge

1. We will try using the chess.com Team Match to challenge (the Admin may have to do this for his members)

2. Make it a one person game, by invite only, and manual start (not Auto) use the name of the person you want to challenge in the Game Name, send the challenge to the Group the person you want to challenge belongs to, (let them know by message a challenge is on the way through their Group) and let me know so I can update information in the CoT. Scoring (NEW)
The chess.com system give the winner, if there is none, then the draw means no change. I believe this will also give meaning to the second game and it will need to be played to give us a decision. If after a while we find this is not working, and challenges are drying up from the lower Groups, we may re-visit it, and try again, but for now, this will stand.

THIS METHOD IS NOW OBSOLETE> THE SCORING METHOD ABOVE WILL BE THE ONE USED IN ALL CURRENT GAMES>Scoring- Win = 1 point. Draw = 1/2 point.
When a person is challenged (Knight by Squire, or Squire by Page,) the CHALLENGER must finish with at least 1 point to win, (1 win=1 point. 2 draws=1 point, 1 win and 1 draw=1-1/2 points, 2 wins=2 points. to win, (this means the challenged Knight or Squire must win both or win one and draw one to keep his position) otherwise he will exchange Groups with the Challenger Squire or Page. if not, both will stay in their own Group

It is very important to pass on information so I can keep all spreadsheets up to date for posting to the CoT. Castle I need to be notified when a challenge is made, and when the game is over so I can mark the players as “Free” for future challenges, I also need to know who won, let me know by message, as I may miss it if it is posted in the notes.

Responsibility of the Super Admin.

If the CHALLENGER wins, he has the right to take the place of the person he has vanquished, and take their place in the higher Group.
Once I receive notification that a CHALLENGER has won, I will contact the SA of his Group, and ask him to BAN him (not delete) from his Group, and the same with the SA of the CHALLENGED persons Group, I will ask the SA of the CHALLENGED persons Group to send an invite to the winner, and the SA of the CHALLENGERS group to send an invite to the loser (if the person is already on the Banned list of the Group, it is easier to just UN-BAN them)

If the CHALLENGER loses as per the scoring above, there is no change.

If the member is a Super Admin, then before he is banned, a new SA has to be chosen.
(I am using the BAN, instead of the Delete, because if the member should return by winning a challenge in the future, then it is easier to UN-BAN them instead of sending out a new invite.)
