Koala chess is very simple. Basically you have to check your opponent 5 times to spell out the word "KOALA". On your first check you say "K", on your second you say "KO" on your third you say "KOA", on your fourth you say "KOAL" and on your fifth you say "KOALA", and you win the game. however, if your opponent checkmates you you lose the game, and if you mate your opponent you win the game. One last thing...

You can play with or without the "super koala". You can sacrifice a rook (if you have one) and turn it into a super koala. What the super koala does is block any check (that can be blocked) that your opponent is currently making. The super koala cannot move but after the check it is immediately your go. If you cannot move the game is drawn (stalemate). After this the game carries on as normal.

But the real reason I called it koala chess IS...

If you want a longer game, then play the lengthened game of koala chess. All it is is you have to make an extra four checks which make up the "BEAR". At the end, instead of shouting "KOALA" you shout "KOALA BEAR!!!"
