I have got some interesting phrases about chess.

Many famous chess champions told these ideas. I hope you like it.

There are six axioms:

Axiom #1

Chess has a Great Secret. Chess is stronger than any person.

Don't try to understand up to the end a chess Secret, otherwise it will destroy you.

As this nor strange, but it is really so. You may participate in the different competitions, get the cups, gain the new victories. But if you want to go further, for you more small parts of a certain whole will start to open. Your mind will look for this whole, and it will not be able to stop.

Be careful, if you wish to comprehend the sense of this Great Secret... Your Life might depart to a gap. The same as a moth, it is captivated flying on a fire, it always burns and falls down.

Chess is a sparkling diamond of Mind.

So... just enjoy!

Axiom #2.

Chess is a paradoxical and relative thing.

A game can end at any time, at all without having begun. You can obviously feel this future loss, having hardly sat down to play. For some players the game doesn't come to an end with years and decades even proceeding in their feverish wit. The main idea of the sudden checkmate finishing game, allocates chess among other games by the originality, freshness and singularity. Any person is powerless against a suddenness.

Often chess is a tragedy of "one move". It is not obligatory to have all set of chess-pieces to win. Sometimes it is enough only several pawns. In the course of game any rule can become an exception, and on the contrary. That you see on a board, your opponent sees differently. Understand, each move is a mistake, to a greater or lesser grade.

Axiom #3

Respect any opponent as yourself.

Each of us has the opinion. Underestimation of the opponent is also unpleasant, as well as reassessment. Don't worry, if you didn't find an approach to the opponent. Be not angry, if you lost. Don't look for the enemy in the person of your opponent! You can see an enemy in a mirror-glass only! A chess philosophy says to us: an opponent helps you to open a priceless knowledge of yourself. It is a good lesson for you! Thank the opponent!

Axiom #4

Chess is a war.

It is the war against your opponent. Usually you see at the chessboard, slowly drink hot coffee, and think a move. Notice, what is a hot fight of minds?! Here all means are good: a forgery, a deception, a threat, a cunning, an insidiousness, a cruelty, an impudence. Please, it is an ambitious choice for your sophisticated imagination. This mix of the creativity and aggression is very explosive! Easy moves can lead to serious consequences. So, one slow move of an easy wooden pawn is capable to bring out your opponent in a heavy wooden hospital bed.

But first of all, it is war against yourself. If you lost a game, you must stop, look and correct the weaknesses. Chess will help you, of course! Never resign! Become stronger, become wiser. Remember, chess hates an indecision, an irresponsibility and idleness.

Axiom #5

Chess is the Life.

It is possible to tell more sharply that chess is an imitation of life. Look narrowly, and you will see, how chess pieces on the chessboard will begin to live own life. They are afraid and cry, they are angry and rejoice, they run and jump. Each chessgame is unique. It is the whole magic Universe with the countries, palaces, castles, inhabitants, kings and court. Sicilian, Holland, English, and many other openings or defences are pleasing us from the old legends. These are the nice, charming fairy tales which are so reminding tales of "1001 nights" which you heard by child.

Any game has a time and space which are compressed and stretched under supernatural fantastic laws. Feel it!

Axiom #6 New.

Be oneself!

In the middle of the XX century in the history of mankind the information age started to arise.

Then there were first lamp computers. Scientific programmers created at once the computer algorithm "CHESS" for the testing of computers. Cause the chess game is most precisely reflects various life experiences. This information age changed all relationship in human activity. It didn't avoid also chess. Easy and fast access to information (debuts, middle-games and end-games) facilitates a work to chess players and their victorious ability for many tournaments, but on the other hand there is a temptation to use computing power in the mercenary cheating purposes. Don't deceive yourself! Don't replace your unique brain with quartz crutches. Do live own mind only!
