The DHLC Chat Room Chess Club is a member group of the Dan Heisman Learning Center. The club meets at regular times each week for members to get together, play chess - especially slow chess, watch others play, kibbitz, chat, and generally enjoy chess in the company of others with the same interest.

* no need to sign up each week to be able to play - just drop by the club and have fun

* for casual and skittles play - this is not a tournament

* play G/90+30 if you like plenty of time for "real chess", practice your G/45+45 for league play, or try G/60 if you are short of time; no rules telling you what time controls you can use

* practice a new opening by expressing interest in the chat room and arranging a game to play the Alekhine Defense or any opening you'd like

* rated or unrated, it's up to you

* meet up here with your study buddy or find more friends to form a study group

* let the club host know that you'd like to play and he'll try to get you paired with others who have expressed interest in a game
