So up until now I'd basically been handling club events by myself, but now we're getting a event coordinator we might want to share doing it.

Other admins (right now @chessterd5 and @FeanorTheElf ), could have a go too of they want to, you should have to same power to make events as I do.

I think if we're all chipping in, we should have some rules we operate under.

I had my own set of self-imposed rules, but many of them are hard to manage with multiple event creators and some I think we've outgrown as a club, so we'll be having a bit of a reset here.

So for team matches:

1) We accept all direct team match challanges from other clubs straight away without discussion, unless there is good reason not to.

2) All admins/coordinators can make team chess matches and accept open seeks (here: https://www.chess.com/play/online/club-challenges )

3) Each admin/coordinator should have only one team match they created or open seek they accepted in registration stage at a time (to prevent an overabundance of events).

4) Aim to not to create a team match on the same day another event has been created. (As people often miss the first event if another comes in quick succession).

5) Aim to make the start date of the match different from that of other events currently in registration (for similar reasons).

6) When making a team match or accepting an open seek, it should be something other than a 3-day standard chess match, unless there's something else unusual like a very low upper rating limit. This is because we get those constantly via challenges from other clubs; so if we create matches like that ourselves too it'll get very same-ey.

7) Only create matches and accept open seeks where we can realistically fill registration.

8) At times, admins/coordinators may want to make matches that go against these rules. When they do, they should discuss it with everyone else first.

For vote chess, I don't think we should have too many matches at once; as we really want as many people as possible in each one, and it's more cumbersome to be in many different vote chess matches if you want to have a good-quality discussion of each move.

As they'll be rarer, I'd propose we only create vote chess matches and accept open seeks or direct challenges for vote chess matches after consulting each other.

Also, for vote chess matches, unlike team chess matches, there's only one game per side. So I suggest if we're doing a custom position for vote chess, it should be symmetric. e.g. "Bishops chess" works for vote chess but not "King taken down from the Hill". That way, it feels fairer to our opponents.
