I just wanted to give a short heads up, of something I want to experiment with. When I first joined the KID I was greeted publicly on the notes. While I really liked being it when I joined it has some drawbacks. Our notes became rather noisy and I had for a long time (before becoming an admin myself) I had the notifications deactivated on notes. For me it was more annoying getting the messages especially as most time I didn't hear from the people again.

Instead I will welcome our new members when they join the vote chess game. I will do this after we made our move and before we got the next move from our opponent. This will limit the welcome messages to max. once every 6 days and will always be less then 50% of the messages there. In addition it will be a good time and place for periodic reminders of our guidelines.

I will start with our game nearing it's end and if there are no surprises I'll continue with our new game once the previous one is over or have reached the late opening / early middle game.

Any thoughts or criticism about this plan would be appreciated.
