Leigh-On-Sea library Chess Mates has gone digital!
The club began life in January 2018, after a group of Parents from Leigh North Street School, who ran the school's chess club, decided to offer free chess to the people of Leigh-On-Sea at the local library.
The club has met at the end of each month since then and has gone from strength to strength. Sadly, the groups founding member, Pauline Godfrey passed away after a long illness. It is because of Pauline that the club exists and her enthusiasm and warm nature brought everyone together. The chess club continue in her honour.
All are welcome! While we can't get into the library, at the end of each month, we will hold games here on chess.com
