Nairobi Chess Club
We are the oldest chess club in Kenya having been registered on 26th February 1958. We meet every Saturday afternoon from 2pm at the Goan Gymkhana Club which is situated along Ngara Road opposite the National Museum of Kenya. We have had a number of events most notably - Kenya Simbas v Wageningen Chess Club, 2009 Nairobi Chess League, 2011 Nairobi Chess League, Fizza Blitz Championships (twice), 53rd Nairobi Chess Club Championship. We also organised Grandmaster Dimitri Reinderman's visit to Kenya in July 2011 for a series of chess events. We are currently the most active club in Kenya.
