This Club Team represents the State of New York in The Celtic League. An international Chess fraternity that brings together Clubs from the Celtic Nations, Historic Celtic Lands, and the Celtic diaspora of the New World.

The Celtic League is a Daily Chess League of Nations, Provinces, and Regions.

Membership of our Club is open to all chess.com players, either residing in the State of New York with historic kinship links to the Modern-Day Celtic Lands, as well as folks who play under the Stars and Stripes outside the State who have an interest in the landscape, culture, traditions, music, literature, and dance of the Celts.

Our inaugural Open Daily League tournament begins in July 2026. Matches are played on a round-robin basis in Divisions of 8 teams.

Play against our Celtic cousins in Spain, France, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, and the Isle of Man, as well as teams from Iberia which retain a strong culture, and Celtic teams drawn from the Celtic diaspora in the Americas, Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.

All abilities are welcome.

Our membership also requires that you: must be at least sixteen years of age; have been on chess.com for at least 3 months; have played a minimum of 10 rated daily matches; have no more than a 25% daily timeout percentage over the last 3 months; and agree to follow Chess.com Fair Play Policy.

In return, we offer a Club where you can play serious, competitive chess in a friendly, supportive atmosphere.

Your Site Owner is an experienced international chess.com Tournament Director (World Cities League), the Celtic League site owner, and runs a highly successful regional Club in Scotland.

We look forward to welcoming you to our roster.
