way up. James managed to fend off the attack. The updated ladder has been posted after each change. There's been interest to change the time of the ladder with ideas for 15/10, 15 or a players to choose whether 15 or 30. At least two players will find it very difficult to play two 1 hour games (one to take a challenge, one to make a challenge). At the moment all options sound feasible from feedback (except the current time control!). A choice may be better as one person prefers 30 minutes

Daily update: The Philippines match has about our best team ready. We're out graded on all but two boards (it is an open match) but if you fancy playing @Michael Beck I'll leave it until this afternoon to lock. Good news against the French team U1800 - thanks to James and Tomasz we've taken a quick lead 3 - 0. Our Indian match (U1400 and down as Cape Verde) started up yesterday so not much on that front. For anyone who is unsure how to create a challenge: play (top left) -> + new game -> 3 min (or whatever time is currently set) -> 30min -> play a friend -> type in friend user name -> click 'I play as' and select white if lower in the ladder than the person you are playing against -> play

We've got a new U1300 live tournament set up for next week at 6.15 with 15 minutes (each) per round. If you're interested in taking part then you'll be able to sign up 1 hour before it starts. If you've got issues with the time (e.g. you finish work at 6.15) then give me a shout and if we have several people with the same issue I'll try and shift the tournament time.
