You can find further details of how Arena's work here: https://support.chess.com/article/335-what-are-arena-tournaments. Basically you are constantly paired against closest strength player and get points for wins and draws. As soon as your game finishes you are paired again.
Tonight I thought we would try something different - rather than a Swiss Tournament I have arranged an Arena. I am not entirely sure how it works but I think you join and then try and play and win as many games in the Arena as possible. The time control is 5min + 5 sec increment. Starts at 8:05pm. Duration is 1 hour. I thought we could just try it and see. Here is the link: https://www.chess.com/live#r=205306
Hi all - regular blitz tonight. I have gone for 5min with 5 sec increment. Just to mix it up a bit and keep the speed junkies engaged. Here is the link:https://www.chess.com/live#t=1210337. As ever you can join from 7:05 and need to be in by 8:05 sharp!
Link for tonight's 4 round 10min blitz. Starts at 8:05pm to allow for NHS clapping. https://www.chess.com/live#t=1201727. As per usual click the link and you can join from 7:05pm and the entries close sharpish at 8:05pm. Pairings all done automatically.
