Is anyone familiar with the book "Chess Structures" by Rios. There is a puzzle I can't figure out the pawn structure that was intended. Black has no e pawn. Anyone have this book, done the puzzles, know what I'm talking about? Which Structure?

Hi, the pawn, the soul of chess. it was the piece that evolved the less. There was some trials to change the rule of the pawn. The most know is Berolina Pawn where the pawn moves diagonally forward including the double step when first moving and capturing one square ahead. This trial really denatures the chess structure, and the game is no longer a game of chess. An interesting trial to change pawn rules and playable online is here www.musketeerchess.net

oh'ya cool .. i'm not a premium member tho so couldn't hv participated .. i seem2suk@the tactics trainer; i make good moves but not always the "best" moves & wen i do make the "right" moves i take2long & lose points anyway! lol

I tried inventing a pawn-structure-inator...but it didn't work. So, maybe this group can help me with my pawn-structure and we'll forget about the -inator...
