I am offering a No Vacation Tournament as a learning experience for those who think all tournaments should be no vacation. It is the kind of tournament where large fluctuations in ratings may occur due to timeout losses. https://www.chess.com/tournament/no-vacation-special Invitations are only being sent to people who register for tournaments and later complain a lot about someone on vacation holding up the tournament. I am not a fan of No Vacation tournaments.

last fall my Benromach ran out and I asked the owner to order 15 yr old; too dear he reported. So I ordered one for Christmas, and it cost $130 Canadian. We sipped the last half at my Dad's 90th birthday party last weekend

"The Vat" is home base for our pool team. There are few scotch drinking customers. The house scotch is Famous Grouse; there is a half bottle of Johnny Walker Red that has been there since 1996 and Benromach and Talisker 10 yr old for pool teams
