Team Gloucestershire only has five players for the County Championship match against Team Suffolk starting on the 28th. The minimum is six. Please can more members join else we will forfeit the match and suffer our first loss of CC24. Thanks

Hi @Ekpiteta, the club is currently in a period of transition, I have come in to help with administrative support from the County Championship Council, with the aim of developing a self sufficient admin team at the club. @Beezzzneezzz are now taking on most admin duties. I hope that helps.

Thanks go to Foxy for all his efforts over the past few years. I started this with Team England around 14 years ago. In the early years we were a Div 1 and won it one year. But then players wanted to play. It is very disheartening for any SA when players do not assist by putting themselves forward to play. I myself am nearing 80 so not a lot of use to any SA now. I am handing over the rein to the the County Chess committee. If this does not work then disbanding will be the only option. Thanks ag

As promised I will be standing down as SA for Team Gloucestershire and leaving the team. It is time for someone else to take over the reins. We have been challenged to our first match in Division 3 (we have been relegated) just now. I have held on and held on but as I have had no help and had to fight to get a side almost every match it is now time for me to go. Good luck for the future and I really hope someone steps into the breech. Foxy
