G'day Greywolf, its been a while. I lived in K-W for a year (1990). Would that qualify me for the team? Did I see some K-Wers with an interest in Chess 960 as well? Cheers.

I haven't actually, but I should keep that in mind if and when I'm in the area. Tuesday nights there's a small group of us, 4-10 people that meet up for a casual chess night at a cafe downtown Hamilton called Democracy. It goes from 7pm to 10pm.. if you're ever in the area, it's an open invite to everyone...

Do you ever come out to the K-W Chess Club? It's at Kitchener City hall Tuesday nights. There is tournaments pretty much every week. Probably about 20 - 25 players every week. A bit tricky getting used to the clock if you are used to playing chess.com, but fun.

I also play for Team Canada and Team Ontario. Team Kitchener-Waterloo was created to play in a Canadian Cities tournament. We had a pretty good team so I organized some matches. Unfortunately I was out of it for a while due to triple bypass surgery. When I returned I organized a few more games but no one signed up.
