The Praetorian is made up of a diverse group of players from nations all over the world. To promote team unity and spirit, we seek to apply the following principles within our group:

1. We do not engage in political or religious discussion within the team's public areas. These are two topics that often draw heated debate, and we feel such debate may undermine our team's sense of unity and spirit. This does not apply to Roman mythology, as we view this subject as historical and thematic to our team.

2. We encourage discussion among our members and in our forums. As our team is not restricted to adults, we ask that no explicit or obscene content or language be used.

3. We have many female players, and they number among our strongest and most active players. We respect that they have joined our ranks to play chess on a strong team, and not to be subjected to sexual or otherwise inappropriate comments based on their gender.

4. We respect that our members encompass a wide range of skill and experience: we respect all of our players for the effort they put into our team through their matches, offer encouragement and support, and desire to help them improve where we can.

5. We view solicitations for other teams or tournaments outside The Praetorian as disrespectful to The Praetorian and to the spirit of team chess. Such content will be deleted.
