  Our University    Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism (RSUPES&T) known up to 1993 as State Central Order of Lenin Institute of Physical Education (SCOLIPE) and from 1993 till 2002 as Russian State Academy of Physical Education (RSAPE), is the largest higher educational establishment in the sphere of physical education in Russia originating from the 29th of May, 1918. The institute trains bachelors and masters on direction “Physical Education”, specialists on specialization “Physical Education and Sport”.   Specializations: theory and methodic of aviation kinds of sport, aiki-do, sport acrobatics, armsport, aerobics and fitness, basketball, billiard, boxing, kickboxing, cycling, volleyball, handball, sport gymnastic, calisthenics, golf, mountain kinds of sports, rowing and sailing, Greco-Roman wrestling, free style wrestling, judo, karate-do, skating, biathlon, downhill skiing, freestyle, table-tennis, swimming, underwater kinds of sports and diving, sambo, synchronized swimming, applied kinds of single combats, taekwon-do, tennis, sportive-remedial activities, technical kinds of sports, training technologies, weight-lifting (weights sport, power triathlon, bodybuilding), fencing, figure skating, football, hockey, chess, sportive-remedial tourism, sports management. Information for foreign applicantsThe academic year begins on September 1.Training in the University is conducted in the Russian language. There is a preliminary faculty for foreign citizens, willing to study on the territory of the Russian Federation, which gives knowledge in basic subjects and the Russian language. On completing the course and passing the test the students get the certificate of a corresponding level.The duration of studies: Preliminary faculty – 1 year, Bachelor department – 4 years, Specialist department – 5 years, Master department – 2 years, Post-graduate department – 3 years, Doctoranture – 3 years. Accommodation. For international students the University offers one place in a three-bedroom of a hostel disposed on the territory of the University.The payment for study in cash can be made in cash department of the University at a rate equal to ruble equivalent of the indicated sum at the rate of Central Bank RF on the day of payment, without the registration of the VAT, or by non-cash transfer in US dollars. Tuition fee of study (US dollars for 2010\2011 academic year): -     Preliminary department – 1, 800 (not less 1 year);Directions of training at bachelor, specialist and master departments:The main educational program of training masters consists of the program on training bachelors (4 years) and the following special training of masters (2 years)-     Psychology (specialization: sport psychologist) – 3200 (not less 5 years);-     Public relations (specializations: public relations in the field of physical education, sport press service)- 3200(not less 5 years);-     Physical education (Bachelor) – 2, 300 (not less 4 years)-     Physical education and Sports (Specialist) (not less 5 years)Specializations: Chess – 2400; The documents indispensable for admission of foreign citizens to University: Application addressed to the rector, Personal questionnaire, Education certificate.  To enter preliminary faculty - a copy of complete secondary education certificate notarised and translated into Russian with the indication of the learnt subjects, the total number of hours for each subject and estimations, as well as a copy of equivalence of education certificates of foreign states to the certificate of education of the Russian Federation given by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation;To enter bachelor department - a copy of complete secondary education certificate notarised and translated into Russian with the indication of the learnt subjects, the total number of hours for each subject and estimations, as well as a copy of equivalence of education certificates of foreign states to the certificate of education of the Russian Federation given by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. To obtain specialist degree – a copy of bachelor certificate notarised and translated into Russian with the indication of the learnt subjects, the total number of hours for each subject and estimations, as well as a copy of equivalence of education certificates of foreign states to the certificate of higher professional education of the Russian Federation given by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.To enter master department - a copy of bachelor diploma notarised and translated into Russian with the indication of the learnt subjects, the total number of hours for each subject and estimations, as well as a copy of equivalence of education certificates of foreign states to the certificate of higher professional education of the Russian Federation given by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.To enter post-graduate department - a copy of a higher professional education diploma notarised and translated into Russian with the indication of the learnt subjects, the total number of hours for each subject and estimations, as well as a copy of equivalence of education certificates of foreign states to the certificate of higher professional education of the Russian Federation given by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. Identity card, higher professional education diploma (certificate) and a copy of its equivalence the applicants to the post-graduate department are to present personally.To enter doctoranture – a copy of Ph.D. degree diploma; detailed plan of doctor thesis; the list of scientific publications, creations.Identity card and Ph.D. degree diploma the applicants present to the doctoranture personally. Health certificate indicating the absence of contraindications for training in the Russian Federation, Medical certificate on AIDS inspection, Copy of the birth certificate, 8 photos (photo without any headgear), 3 х 4 size.The International Department might ask you for additional information.Contract on studies. Foreign students study according to the contract that states specialty, duration of studies, tuition fee. A student and the University officials sign it upon arrival of foreign student on study.
