Playoffs Stage

The Playoffs consist of a must-win three/four rounds elimination stage up until the championship. There will be variously a Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Grand Finals/Third Place Match.

Quarterfinals: The highest seeded team plays the lowest team ( A1 VS B4, A2 VS B3, A3 Vs B2, A4 vs B1). In the event of a tie, there will be a round of blitz tiebreaks (1 game of 5|2) between each player on the team. If a tie then Armageddon of (2+1) will be played. If still a tie then with opposite colours. If that is still tied, the higher seed will advance.

Semifinals: (WINNER OF A1B4 VS A3B2, A2B3 VS A4B1). In the event of a tie, there will be a round of blitz tiebreaks (1 game of 5|2) between each player on the team. If that is still tied, the tiebreaks will be repeated with colors inverted. In the unlikely event that the match is still tied, an Armageddon [3|2] match will be played. The higher seed will pick the side to play, and in the event that the match is still tied, an Armageddon [2+1] match will be played. The higher seed will pick side to play (b1 and b3 will be of same colour and b2 and b4 with opposite). If a draw then with colour inverted. If still a draw then team with more game points in group stage will be declared winner.

Grand Finals: The two remaining teams will play against eachother. In the event of a tie, there will be a round of blitz tiebreaks (1 game of 5|2) between each player on the team. If that is still tied, the tiebreaks will be repeated with colors inverted. In the unlikely event that the match is still tied, an Armageddon [3|2] match will be played. If still a tie then Armageddon [2+1] will be played. The higher seed will pick the side to play. If still a draw then colours inverted. If still a draw then team with more game points will be the the winner of the ARCL Championship.

Third Place Match: The two teams which were defeated in the semifinals will play against each other to determine who takes third place in the ARCL. In the event of a tie, there will be a round of blitz tiebreaks (1 game of 5|2) between each player on the team. If that is still tied, the tiebreaks will be repeated with colors inverted. In the unlikely event that the match is still tied, an Armageddon [3|2] match will be played. If still a draw, an Armageddon of [2+1] match will be played. If still a draw then with colours inverted. If still a draw then team with more game points will be declared winner.

These are some rules of playoffs which are newly added: I request you to please read them.

1. Top ranked team's captain will choose the colour by which his b1,b3 and b2,b4 will play. For example: if a captain chooses that his b1 and b3 will play as white then his b2 and b4 will play as black and vice versa.

2. All the captains should be in contact with tournament director. They should respond to his messages.

3. Captains will message their team's lineup to the tournament director atleast one day or 12 hrs before the match.

4. If any player doesn't negotiates with his opponent or in the case of emergency the team can opt for a substitute during the ongoing match. But after inclusion of substitute the team's rating shouldn't exceed 6600.

5. Other all rules are same which were followed during the group stage.

6. Quarterfinals start tentatively from Thursday or Friday. Before that the qualified team send are requested to send me their playing 4 for quarterfinals. Also the team finishing in top 2 of each group their captain's are requested to please send me their choice of colours by which they wanna play as mentioned in rule 1 above.

7. Qualified team's captains are requested to send their team's logo again to the tournament director.

8. All the games of playoffs will be reviewed deeply to avoid cheating. If any player is found cheating he will be declared lost on that board. The team's captain can't opt for a substitute for him/her for that match.

9. Players who have played 3 or less than 3 matches for eliminated teams are eligible to play as a substitute for a team in playoffs.
