Be respectful in all interactions. No harassment, trolling, or toxic behavior in chats, forums, or voice calls.
Use appropriate language. Keep it school-appropriate and inclusive for everyone.
No spamming. Avoid repeated messages or off-topic posts in club chats or forums.

🖥️ Gameplay & Fair Play
No cheating of any kind. Do not use engines, outside assistance, or advice during games.
Most platforms (like Chess.com or Lichess) have strict anti-cheating detection.
Play fair and honest games. No letting opponents win or throwing games.
Use the agreed time control. Stick to the clock rules in club events (e.g., 10|0, 5|5, etc.).
Play under your real club username. No smurfing (using alt accounts to play weaker opponents).

🧠 Meetings, Events & Tournaments
Be on time for online meetings or tournaments. Show up 5–10 minutes early if possible.
Sign up ahead of time. Register by the deadline to be included in tournaments or pairings.
Communicate if you can’t attend. Let organizers know in advance if you’re going to miss something.
Submit results properly. If the platform doesn't automatically record results, both players must confirm the outcome.

🎓 Learning & Improvement
Respect study sessions or lessons. Stay muted unless you're speaking, and don’t distract others.
No spoilers during puzzle contests or simuls. Let others work it out for themselves.
Use club channels for sharing resources. (Openings, puzzles, game analysis, etc.)

🔧 Technical & Platform Rules
Keep your account active. Participate in club events at least once per month to stay in good standing.
Join with your real first name (or recognizable username). Helps build community and trust.
Follow platform rules. Whether on Chess.com, Lichess, or another site, respect their Terms of Service.
