This gambit went down in chess history. The world was never the same after its creation. You may never have heard of this magical gambit . . . until today!

Let's begin with the first big question: Why was this gambit created? What was the point? And who was its creator?

Eduard Nemeth himself was a club player. His claim to fame was embarrassing the top chess AI of the late '90s and early 2000s, using various unsound lines that, while clearly poor to a human, often required positional understanding that the engines of his era simply didn't have.

One of his best creations was this:

What a glorious position. Modern analysis shows this whole can be avoided entirely with 7... Kg8! -- a move most humans would prefer, instead of shoving Black's king out into the center. Likewise, even 8. Qg4+ Kf7! would have led to a much clearer advantage for Black than 8 ... Kd5?

And yet, after 8. Kd5? White is still not winning, according to some analysis. The position, bizarrely enough, appears to become more or less equal.

But how would it score in human competition? And/or, how would it score with modern chess engines?
