The Alabama Chess group is open to Alabama chess enthusiasts, specifically residents, or those with a connection to living in the State. It is by an honor system that your connection to the state is real, and new members who fly a foreign flag or list a location that is not Alabama will likely be asked to provide their connection or will be removed from the group. Please feel free to invite anyone you know in or from Alabama.

Alabama Chess is the official representative of the State of Alabama in the US States Team Chess League as of the 2016 Season, and the primary purpose for this group is to represent Alabama as a team in this league.
