Welcome to our club!Athenaeum is a central London chess club, based in Covent Garden, with about 60 members. Athenaeum was founded in 1873 and that makes us London's oldest surviving chess club. When we can play over the board we compete in the London League, the Middlesex League, and various Banks and Insurance League competitions. |
