Carlos Torre Group
Carlos Torre lived from 1904 to 1978. His career as a professional chess player was cut short by a nervous breakdown in 1926. Torre played many beautiful games against Marshall, Capablanca, Alekhine, Reti, Lasker and others. He remains Mexico's greatest chess player of all time.
The mission of this group is to study the life and games of Carlos Torre; use the "Torre Attack" in our own chess playing; and promote and discuss chess in Latin America.
