(06-01-1915/16-11-1973) This quote is from the Philosopher Alan Watts, Who suggested that suffering comes from taking life, which is fundamentally playful, too seriously. The quote is a summary of his idea that humans create their own suffering by imposing heavy meaning on a spontaneous and ever-changing universe. By viewing life's dramas and ambitions as part of a cosmic game, we can ease suffering by holding our identities and problems more lightly.
