Kynoch Chess Club has been running for over 60 years and its earliest success in the BDCL came with an individual trophy for D J Youston in 1949. Kynoch won the league in 1964 and also in 1968. Kynoch went through a successful spell in the eighties when they won the League from 1981 to 1985, this has only been repeated once by South Birmingham A from 2006 to 2010. Kynoch have just won 1st place in the BDCL 2023 Division 4 League with 9 Wins and 2 Draws out of 11 Matches giving them a well earned promotion.
