Hello and welcome to the chess.com group for Leeds, Yorkshire.
We represent Leeds in the Yorkshire Cup, Club World Cup and World Cities League. If you are resident in Leeds or have any link to Leeds, past or present, you are welcome to join.
We secured a 2nd place finish in our World Cities League division in the 2023-24 season with 5.5/8, having played against a combination of far-flung cities such as Honolulu, Istanbul and Boulogne, as well as local matches against Sheffield, York and Bradford in the Yorkshire Cup.
We are well placed to do even better in 2024-25 following a strong start against another mix of foreign cities such as Jakarta, Dhaka and Dublin, coupled with matches against other Yorkshire teams.
