Stratford Chess Club
The club meets every Tuesday evening at Venture House, Avenue Farm, Stratford-upon-Avon - from 7:30pm onwards.
The club also has a weekly online clubnight every Thursday on chess.com, starting at 7:15pm. You must be a members of Stratford Chess Club to take part.
We welcome both serious-minded chess enthusiasts and beginners looking to improve their game.
There are many opportunities for competitive play against other teams in Warwickshire as well as nationally at county level.
Of course, you could simply play friendly games against other members to have some fun and improve your chess.
We have around 20 active players that range in ability, experience and age. Together we play in the Leamington and District Chess League, as well as taking part in various tournaments thoughout the year.
The club hosts an annual pre-season social evening, normally held on the last Tuesday in August, in which we arrange a friendly tournament against a neighbouring club or a simultaneous event and present end of season trophies to club members on the night.
